Back in May I attended a great session on Advanced Evernote Techniques at the NAPO 2014 Conference in Phoenix. During the session, I learned that I could apply to become an Evernote Certified Business Consultant - which involved in-depth training on Evernote Business and all of its amazing features. I was sitting there with my iPad at the ready thinking, "This sounds like me", and I applied right then and there in the session room.
Fast forward to early August. My kids were starting school, my client load had picked up, and I jumped in on the training with both feet. My family really didn't see me for about 10 days. I would come home from going through someone's files or memorabilia, hop on the computer, and work on the prescribed Evernote exercises until my eyelids felt like sandpaper. Sleep, rise early, rinse, repeat. My weekends were full of terms like "stacks", "workflows", "annotations", and my personal favorite: "conflicting changes". Even though I considered myself to be fairly Evernote savvy, the exercises were thorough and challenging. There was a whole group of us connected online through a discussion forum, and it was helpful and informative to see how others handled the challenges. It was a great experience, regardless of the outcome.
Today, I learned that I am officially an Evernote Business Certified Consultant.
